Rachel O'Neill
About
I graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2000 with a degree in design and after some time spent in a studio creating objects, I had a strong instinct to work in collaboration with people and to create live visual art. I now work in performance as a scenographer.

I see my role within performance as developing ideas through the lens of scenography: considering the space, materials, atmospheres, and language of aestheSis in relation to both the performers and the spectator.
As part of my practice in recent years I have been re-connecting with the term aestheSis to think more deeply with how the perceiving body and senses can be part of a making practice,
